Zoe Perry-Wood holds a BFA in
photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her solo exhibitions
include showings at Art@Palace Road at Simmons School
of Social Work and Gallery Kayafas, Boston, where she is represented. Shown
nationally, Zoe has been included in group and juried exhibitions at Soho Photo in New York, Photo Center NW, WA., Camera Obscura Gallery, CO., Vermont Photo Workplace
Gallery, Danforth Museum in
Framingham, MA., Bakalar Gallery at Massachusetts College of Art and University
Place Gallery at Harvard University. Local juried shows include the Photographic Resources Center, 17 Cox,
Cambridge Art Association, Concord Art Association, and Belmont Gallery of Art.
In her work, Zoe investigates expressions of identiy and
documents mainstream groups as well as non-conforming subcultures. Her recent series include a
five-year project documenting Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Transgender Youth
(BAGLY), making portraits of youth at their Prom and other events; and a long
term project documenting gay culture in Provincetown and making portraits of
drag queens and other gender flexible people.
